Cheryl has been a technical and marketing writer for over six years, but her true passions are romance and women-centered speculative fiction. Judith Leigh

Judith lives in rural Florida with her own hero, her husband who served 28 years in the Air Force. They have been married 43 years producing three children and eleven grandchildren. She writes historical, contemporary and mainstream fiction. Judith's first short story, It Must Have Been the Mistletoe, is part of the Love Under the Mistletoe Anthology. Jennifer Linforth

If one is going to query a publisher, Jennifer suggests not doing so in pink ink. Her first query, written when she was twelve, was nothing if not colorful. She is a member of the Historical Novel Society and a writing mentor. She writes historical fiction and historical romance with unusual themes and locations (locations such as Austria and themes touching on subjects such as autism the mores of the mentally ill in the 19th century.) Jennifer lives in Maine with her husband and daughter. Beyond her writing career, she teaches environmental education for a local museum and is a ranger with Acadia National Park. Lance resides in California with his wife and two children. Lance has been barbering since he was 16 years old, but has been writing and illustrating comic strips and comic books even longer. Cynthia is a Canadian author who first became interested in history after learning a distant ancestor, Thomas Aubert, sailed up the St. Lawrence River to Canada some 26 years before Jacques Cartier in 1534. Another relative was a 17th Century ‘King’s Girl,’ one of a group of young unmarried girls sent to New France as brides for the settlers. A former journalist and lifelong Celtophile, Cynthia’s stories usually include an Irish setting, hero or heroine. She lives in Montreal with her own Celtic hero and her two children. R.R. lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and three sons. She also works as an occupational therapist for children with autism. Her first Young Adult book is Into the Woods. She is the alter-ego of Brynn Chapman, who will be publishing The Bride of Blackbeard with Highland Press in 2008.

Shelli Stevens

Dawn Thompson


Dawn passed away in 2008. She will forever be remembered in her most amazing works of fiction.  Her Regency short stories appear in Highland Press’ Once in the Blue Moon Series – Belle of the Blue Moon Ball in Blue Moon Magic and Under the Faery Moon in the P.E.A.R.L. nominated Blue Moon Enchantment.
